Science and History Museum Renovation
A Museum Complex of the Past and the Future that is Green and Digital.

Science and History do not oppose each other: the purpose of studying the past is fundamentally about the future; while to derive testable knowledge that is applicable in the future requires insights from the past. Along the trajectory of modernity is an iterative progressiveness that is both cyclic and linear, looking backward and forward.
Our proposal imagine the renovated Science and History Museum Complex to be green and digital, absorptive and reflective, muddy and metallic. Climbers and vines regenerate a biophilia façade that evolves over time. Existing courtyard at Museum of History shall be opened up for better streetscape and views. On the south we suggest an arcade with data-projections on non-prismatic beams and castellated trellis, followed by escalators leading to an immersive, experiential museum complex.
