Mong Kok was known to be ‘an unmanned corner filled with silvergrass’ before being populated to become the ‘prosperous corner.’
In our proposal, we imagine a silvergrass park surrounded by compact, efficient, rectilinear mixed-use towers with semi-enclosed public open space, forming a diagonal streetscape within the urban grid to become a green link. Making good use of economy of scale, elevating land value, alleviating urban sprawl, improving resilience and offering urban wind.

A walkable city with indirect wayfinding for orientation. Sequential plazas with windmill layout in oblique direction. Sense of enclosure co-exists with open public space.

Modern, minimal, artless, concise architecture. Emphasize verticality, proportion, view, material, and light. Learn from traditional gardens: high-tech picturesque.
Digital + Sustainable
Tall-grass perennial landscape and infinity pools. Strive for carbon positivity, in addition to carbon neutrality. Smart city for sustainability and innovation.
